5 Great Party Appetizers For Winter

I love trying out new appetizers whenever we have a few friends over, whether for a more formal affair or just to hang out on a random Tuesday. Given that it’s winter, heartier food is definitely in order.

Here are five appetizer recipes for you to try:

Pizza Snowballs

Pizza Snowballs –  These are quick, easy, and oh so tasty!  (And if you have kids, it’s a great recipe for them to help with) The recipe calls for pepperoni but you can include and “toppings” you like. (from ASlobComesClean)

Healthier Jalapeno Poppers

Healthier Jalapeno Poppers –  I don’t know what it is but in the past year or so I’ve been obsessed with jalapenos.  If it’s an option to add it – I’m doing it. This recipe from SkinnyTaste gives you that creamy yumminess of traditional jalapeno poppers with a fresher, crunchier texture since they aren’t fried and use panko breadcrumbs.

Avocado, Bacon, Cheese Puffs

Avocado, Bacon, and Cheese {ABC} Puffs – Three things that are music to my ears – avocado, bacon and cheese.  What else do you need?  Try this scrumptious app recipe by Sunny Side Up

 Zesty Hot Artichoke Dip

Zesty Hot Artichoke Dip –  This lovely hot and bubbly dip is a perfect app to bring to a winter party.  (From Suburble)

Buffalo Chicken Meatballs

Buffalo Chicken Meatballs – Featured on BuzzFeed’s 20 Recipes That Won Pinterest in 2013 – how can you go wrong with these? A little spice can go a long way on a cold winter night.

I hope you enjoy trying out these hearty and tasty apps at your next get together.

Do you have any go-to winter appetizer recipes? I’d love to hear about them.

Every event I have gone to this winter I’ve taken the ol’ trusty “brie baked in a pastry with apricot jam” dish. This one never gets old and is so easy to make!

Oooo! Love that one – especially with some chopped up jalapenos to go with the apricot jam
